Are Yak Chews safe for dogs?

How long does a Yak Chew last?

It depends on the size and chewing style of your dog, but most dogs will work on a single piece for 1–3 hours. Aggressive chewers may get through one faster; lighter chewers can make one last several sessions.

Can I give a Yak Chew to a puppy?

We recommend Yak Chews for adult dogs only. For puppies under 16 weeks, please consult your vet before introducing any hard chew.

What do I do with the small end piece?

Don't throw it away! Pop the small end piece in the microwave for 30–60 seconds and it will puff up into a light, crunchy snack your dog will love. Remove and discard any piece that becomes a choking risk.

Is this suitable for dogs with allergies?

Yak Chews contain dairy (yak and cow milk). They are not suitable for dogs with a dairy intolerance or milk protein allergy. If in doubt, consult your vet.
